Welcome

Inspiring Learning for Life... Hope for the Future

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Bethany CE Junior School. We have the highest aspirations for all our pupils to help them feel confident about making the transition to secondary school and equipped to make a difference in the world.

Our school is a happy school and we pride ourselves on the relationships our staff have with the pupils, caring for them throughout their time at Bethany and ensuring academic and personal excellence for all. We express our Christian foundation in these values: Hope, Compassion and Courage. These underpin, shape and enrich every aspect of our school life and curriculum.

Our school vision and aims are built around the Bible passage from Jeremiah 29:11:

“I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “plans to give you a future and a hope.”

In fulfilling our vision, we are committed to ensuring pupils feel nurtured, inspired and motivated in their learning by:

  • Exciting Learning Every Day – With Hope
We give children lots of exciting opportunities to learn and grow, helping them discover their unique talents and believe in a bright future.
  • Growing Together – With Compassion
We learn how to be kind, work as a team, and support each other. We grow stronger together by showing care and respect for everyone.
  • Feeling Special and Celebrated
Every child is loved and valued. We celebrate their efforts and achievements so they feel proud, happy, and confident.
  • Teachers Who Care – With Compassion
Our teachers are passionate and caring. They help children grow in learning, kindness, and confidence, always putting their well-being first.
  • Fun and Challenging Lessons – With Courage
We make learning fun and exciting, encouraging children to try their best, take on challenges, and never give up.
  • Making Good Choices – With Compassion and Courage
We teach children to make thoughtful choices that help others and make the world a better place, even when it’s not easy.
  • Learning About Faith – With Hope
We explore the Christian faith and how it helps us build strong friendships, show love, and find hope every day.
  • Exploring the World – With Courage and Creativity
We give children the freedom to imagine, create, and explore God’s world, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Ready for the Future – With Hope and Courage
We prepare children to move forward with big dreams, strong values, and the courage to follow their path.

We very much welcome visits so you can experience and appreciate the vibrant ethos of our school community.
